Your Cloud Works has teamed up with edde (education donation engine) to provide services to schools to support the roll out of digital device schemes and other technology schemes. The main areas of support are the parental donations, insurance and funding for our Easy Education programme.

classroomParental donations are a way of supplementing the IT spend at a school to allow children to have their own device while giving parents confidence in its educational benefit.

In conjunction with edde, the Your Cloud Works Parent Portal is a secure online parental contribution system that enables parents to make fixed regular donations to the cost of their child’s device. The scheme allows schools to enjoy the advantage of bulk purchasing via an operating lease without having to administer the collection of parental donations.

Your school can work with parents to choose the device and agree how much of this cost will be covered by the donations, whether it is partially or in full.

Within the dashboard your school will see the contribution collections for any given month, any outstanding arrears, invoices and the payments made. It also holds all of the documents, insurance details and asset management details for your programme. Parents can see their contributions via the Parent Portal, as well as having the ability to make an insurance claim.

Funding Management and Provision

We will work with edde to secure the best offering for the school including a number of the technology vendors, such as Asus and HP. For publically funded institutions we always provide fully compliant operating leases whereas for independent bodies we can offer capital leasing.

The scheme is built so, to the school, it is cash neutral minus any arrears for that period. edde collect a contribution from the parent that consists of the lease, final payment, scheme management and any remaining insurance. 100% of this collection is passed to the school and then edde invoice for the surplus to cover the other costs, leaving the school with the lease payment (per month) minus arrears.

To limit the number of arrears edde chase twice monthly, once by text and again by email to remind parents of their commitment to the contributions for the scheme. Average arrears seen over a scheme are between 3-7%. Working with the school edde aim to limit arrears in most cases to below 5%.

We can work with schools on providing the essential insurance for any scheme. The offerings can fit the needs of the parents and schools, which is all managed as part of the Easy Education programme.

Accidental Damage or Accidental Damage & Theft Insurance ▼

These insurance policies are ideally suited to mobiles devices (tablets/laptops/Chromebooks), providing protection against those everyday mishaps that occur at school, at home or on the go. Whether physical, liquid, fire or flood damage and in some cases theft, we will make sure that you are protected.

With an easy claims process and fully trained and accredited engineers, we will aim to have your IT device either repaired, or replaced and returned to you within the shortest time possible.

Examples of Accidental Damage can be dropping the device on to a hard surface, such as a wooden or concrete floor, resulting in a cracked/smashed screen/case. Liquid damage can consist of either a drinks spillage or caught in the rain.

Provision and Process
  • We will register your devices with an electronic certificate
  • You will receive worldwide cover and no excess on the policy
  • Contact us to make a claim
  • Claims must be reported within 14 days of the event
  • A crime reference number must be obtained in order to process a claim if your device has been stolen
  • We will arrange the collection of the defective device, repair and return it to your location (UK Nationwide)
  • All repair and logistical costs incurred during this process are covered

Our extended warranties provide alternative protection for your IT devices at a lower cost than most manufacturers. The services we offer only employ fully trained and accredited engineers. Meaning you receive first class service every time.

Collect & Return

Ideally suited to mobile devices (tablets / laptops / Chromebooks), our Collect & Return extended warranty is a fast and efficient repair service designed to protect your device against mechanical breakdown.

With all parts, labour and carriage included, our Quick Fix 5 Day Service ensures you receive a fast and cost effective solution when looking to protect your assets. If we are unable to repair your device under the extended warranty agreement (i.e. parts aren’t available or the cost to repair is greater than the value of the device when new) you will receive a brand new replacement to the equivalent specification.

The Collect & Return extended warranty is inclusive of the manufacturer’s warranty period and is available for all makes and models of tablets, laptops, desktops and Chromebooks.

On-Site Maintenance

An Onsite extended warranty is suited to laptop, Chromebook and desktop devices. Designed at delivering both an instant response and a rapid repair; you will receive telephone diagnostics and dispatch of a fully trained engineer to your location (UK mainland). With all parts, labour and engineer call out charges included; our premium extended warranty service has you covered.

If we are unable to repair your device under the extended warranty agreement (i.e. parts aren’t available or the cost to repair is greater than the value of the device when new) you will receive a brand new replacement to the equivalent specification. The Onsite extended warranty is inclusive of the manufacturer’s warranty period and is available for all makes and models of laptops, Chromebooks and desktops, excluding Apple.

Smash Crash & Splash is a bundled product consisting of Collect & Return Warranty with Accidental Damage Insurance. The ideal ‘all-in-one’ solution providing cover in the event of breakdown and/or physical, liquid, fire or flood damage.

With all parts, labour and carriage included, you receive a fast and cost effective solution when looking to protect your assets.
