There is so much to tell about our experiences with VR and AR in schools since 2016. I have enjoyed working in education since 1992, but the reaction of the students as they engage in Virtual Reality is truly unique. From the depths of the oceans to the surface of the moon, the VR/AR content seems to bring the class to life.
We already have schools coming back to us for their second, third and fourth visits, as they set aside budget for VR each year now. As VR for education has become more popular, we have also decided to become a Redbox VR reseller, and look forward to offering high quality integrated VR kits for purchase in 2020.

Google Expeditions is a virtual and augmented reality app that was built for classrooms to enhance and extend student learning. It utilises virtual reality viewfinders, phones and a tablet, allowing teachers to magically transport their students on virtual journeys anywhere on Earth, across and time – and even beyond.
The Expeditions app allows a teacher acting as a “guide” to lead classroom-sized groups of “explorers” through collections of 360° photospheres and interactive pop-ups, while pointing out and highlighting interesting sights, and guiding students’ knowledge growth. There are now over 1000 Expeditions to choose from, each comprising fully immersive images, description and points of interests for the teacher, which makes it easy to incorporate into the curriculum.
