Why is this the event that you shouldn’t miss?
As the vast majority of schools and educators are now aware of Google’s free G Suite for Education platform and applications, now it is time to look deeper. This event will focus on some exciting new developments for Education such as; VR/AR for education, GDPR and Online security with Google, a closer look at how Neverware are transforming older devices into chrome devices, the FBS Google transition and some dynamic hands-on Google Classroom training, using chromebooks.
What are educators looking for when they attend educational technology events?
There are a number of answers to that question, many of which are related to the best use of technology in their classroom and throughout their school. Another key area of interest is saving money and making sound choices with regards to hardware and software for their school. We have also found that all educators want to feel fully engaged with the activities and presentations prepared for that event.

The Fulham Boys School opened as a flagship free school in September 2013 in West London. The school has been committed to ensuring that technology has been used across the school to enrich, enthuse and inspire students in their learning. The school launched a 1:1 Chromebook scheme for students in summer 2016 and the school are now proud to be able to say that every student in the school has a Chromebook device that they are able to use in school throughout the day as well as take home with them. We are proud to host an important Google event alongside Your Cloud Works, and look forward to sharing our experiences with local educators.

Onsite parking is only available for attendees with accessibility requirements. The school is a 5 minute walk from West Kensington underground station (on the Ealing Broadway and Richmond branches of the District Line). Alternatively they are a 10-15 minute walk from West Brompton station (which is served by the Wimbledon branch of the District Line as well as London Overground services).
Chromebooks will be provided for the G Suite Training.

Hear the experiences of The Fulham Boys School’s digital leaders and prefects about their Google journey. Since opening, the school has been committed to using technology to enrich, enthuse and inspire students in their learning. In 2016 they launched a 1:1 Chromebook scheme, and are now proud that every student has a Chromebook to use throughout the school day and take home.
Kirri Gooch (London Lead for the UK Google for Education team) will be talking about Google’s commitment to GDPR and an overview of the privacy and security tools schools have access to as part of the Google for Education ecosystem. She was previously a teacher of Business at Warwickshire College and worked alongside Google on various projects whilst still teaching, including Google Expeditions. Her time in the classroom sparked a passion for increasing the impact of technology in the classroom and her current role allows her to support other educators in transforming their practice.
We will be providing free CPD certified G Suite training that has been designed to give teachers the tools to confidently use digital technology in the classroom. In addition to information about how schools can start their Google journey, and the change management process. Plus we will be have a Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality kit on display for you to experience.
