The horror stories that we have heard about lazy IT support companies have been really quite shocking.

It is true that lockdown occurred suddenly on March 23rd 2020, and we were all taken by surprise as the changes were instant and unexpected.

As a serious IT support company we had the busiest fortnight in our 20 year history...

The first point on our “crisis management” meeting agenda was in bold at the top of the page: PUT THE CLIENT FIRST.

We had to make sure that all of our clients and their teams were set up and ready to work from home safely, with secure business data and functional communication tools, as soon as possible.

Once everyone was set up, with full access to their required business tools, we focused on calling them regularly to help them deal with the main frustrations of working from home and there were many. 

We have done all we can to keep our clients problem free during this lockdown period. (We do, however, apologise for not helping with any of the home schooling!)

Why didn’t your IT partner respond when you most needed their support?

We need to talk because as you have seen, you don’t owe them anything, and they will not improve in the difficult months ahead.

Yes, we apologise for being so brutal and direct, but it is the truth. We celebrate the many IT support companies that rose to the challenge, and really did support their clients every step of the way. Sadly, many just got lazy and were nowhere to be found during the lockdown (which is still in effect).

One key point has stood out to us in our conversations with business owners: They have seen just how important real IT support is for their business. Now let us share with you just how important solid IT Security and Support is.

It’s really important you know these 5 points:

  1. It’s just an exploratory call at this stage.
  2. There’s no commitment to buy anything, ever.
  3. I’m not going to bad mouth your existing IT support company. I’d rather focus on making your life easier.
  4. No matter how long you have left on your existing contract, we should still talk.
  5. Let us freely give you as much strategic advice as you like.
